Fasting
Matthew 6:18 “But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face so that your fasting will not be noticed by others, but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.” In this recent season of life, you may have found yourself stretched in ways you have not been before. Life may have tried your faith or wearied you to frustration or discouragement. You already love the Lord and have been walking with him in your life. I want to invite you to a time of unique refreshing for your spirit. Fasting has the most amazing way of drawing you into a deeper intimacy with God, it helps to cleanse your soul and collectively we will see God do amazing things with our prayers through fasting. Please accept this invitation to participate in this time of spiritual renewal for our selves, our churches and our conference in the next season ahead of us. We are inviting the EMC to a conference-wide fast during the time of Lent beginning on March 2, 2022. ~ Darcy Sproule
